These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Helmy ("we", "us", "our"), accessible at helmyapp.com. By creating an account or using Helmy, you agree to these Terms.
Helmy provides vessel handover checklists, document and photo management, Google Drive integration, PDF report generation, and related yacht management tools for captains, owners, managers and crew.
You must sign in with a valid Google account to use Helmy. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate vessel and handover information.
Helmy is offered on a subscription basis after an initial free trial period. Subscription pricing is based on the number of vessels managed and is processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Helmy to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
If you grant Google Drive access, Helmy creates folders and uploads files (photos, PDF reports) to your own Google Drive account on your behalf. You retain full ownership and control of this content through your Google account. Helmy is not responsible for changes you or others make directly within Google Drive outside the app.
You retain ownership of all vessel data, photos, notes and documents you upload to Helmy. You grant Helmy a limited license to store, process and display this content solely to provide the service to you and to those you invite to a handover.
You agree not to misuse Helmy, including but not limited to: attempting to access other users' accounts or vessel data without authorization, uploading unlawful or infringing content, or interfering with the normal operation of the service.
Helmy is a documentation and record-keeping tool. While we aim to provide a reliable platform, you are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all checklist entries, vessel data, and handover records. Helmy is not a substitute for professional surveys, inspections, or regulatory compliance checks.
You may stop using Helmy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Helmy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helmy and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, vessel records, or business interruption.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Helmy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
